VELO
Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Srikanth Tiwari ("VELO"). By creating an account you accept them and our Privacy Policy. VELO is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers; VELO does not itself provide transport.
1. Accounts
- You must be 18 or older and give a real name and your own mobile number.
- Keep your phone and Google account secure; you are responsible for activity on your VELO account.
- VELO may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse, unsafe behaviour or breaking these terms.
2. For riders
- Fares: the app shows an estimated fare before you book. The final fare can change with route, waiting time, tolls and parking, and includes applicable taxes.
- Paying: you pay the driver directly in cash or by UPI at the end of the trip, including any tip you add.
- Trip PIN: share your 4-digit PIN only with your driver after checking the car and plate.
- Cancellations: cancelling after the free window, or not coming to the pickup after the driver has waited, may lead to a cancellation or no-show fee shown in the app.
- Treat drivers and vehicles with respect. Damage or soiling may be charged.
3. For drivers
- You are an independent service provider, not an employee of VELO. You choose when to go online.
- You must hold a valid driving licence, vehicle registration, commercial permit where required, and valid insurance, and keep them current in the app. VELO verifies documents before approval and may ask for renewals.
- Follow traffic law and drive safely. Don't use the phone while driving except one-tap actions.
- Commission and dues: VELO charges the commission and/or weekly platform fee shown in the app. Because riders pay you directly, VELO's share is recorded as dues that you pay by UPI or cash as shown in the app. You remain responsible for your own income tax.
- You may set your own rental and outstation prices within the range the app allows.
- Rider details are only for the trip. Don't contact riders after a trip or share their information.
4. Safety
Both apps have an SOS button that calls emergency services and alerts VELO. In an emergency always call 112 first. VELO may share trip details with authorities to help.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the apps: no fake bookings or accounts, no harassment, discrimination or violence, no illegal goods, and no attempts to break, copy or overload the service.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, VELO is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of riders and drivers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law that cannot be excluded.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (how). Drivers must still pay any outstanding VELO dues.
8. Disputes and law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction. Please contact support first; most problems can be solved quickly.
